We are dedicated to providing quality care in the specialties of cardiovascular and thoracic surgery for patients in the Triad. Our surgeons specialize in both adult cardiac surgery and thoracic oncology, and all members of our group are certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery.

Our highly skilled cardiac surgical team is committed to the treatment of patients with cardiovascular disease. This includes coronary artery disease, heart valve disease and heart rhythm disturbances and disease of the lung and chest.  We provide highly specialized, expert surgical care and support for patients at Congdon Heart and Vascular Center and Hayworth Cancer Center at High Point Medical Center.

Comprehensive surgical care is provided by fellowship-trained, board certified specialists in adult cardiac surgery who collectively average nearly 1,000 open heart surgical procedures annually. All outcomes have been shared with the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) Adult Cardiac Surgery National Database for more than 10 years. Advanced surgical treatment of a wide variety of diseases of the chest is provided by fellowship-trained, board certified specialists in thoracic surgery. Our comprehensive multidisciplinary approach to the treatment of lung cancer, esophageal cancer and other thoracic malignancies is coordinated through collaboration with specialists in medical oncology, radiation oncology and pulmonary medicine at Hayworth Cancer Center at High Point Medical Center.
