UNC Regional Physicians Welcomes Dr. Nik Teppara & Dr. Meade Palmer


UNC Regional Physicians proudly welcomes Dr. Nik Teppara and Dr. Meade Palmer to our growing staff of physicians. Dr. Teppara and Dr. Palmer will provide services at UNC Regional Physicians Surgical Associates.     

A few decades ago, recovering from gallbladder or hernia surgery could take weeks. Dr. Nik Teppara

Dr. Nik Teppara earned his medical degree from the University of South Carolina and completed his internship/research years at Atlanta Medical Center and Orlando Regional Medical Center, before completing his residency at Stamford Hospital, part of Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, in Stamford Connecticut.  Dr. Teppara is board certified and has been practicing in High Point for over four years.

Dr. Meade Palmer

Dr. Meade Palmer is board certified in general surgery and surgical critical care.  Having been in practice more than 30 years, Dr. Palmer completed his residency at North Oakland Medical Center and fellowships in trauma/critical care surgery at University of Maryland and Endoscopy, at Massachusetts General Hospital. 

Located on the campus of High Point Regional, UNC Regional Physicians Surgical Associates offers comprehensive care for patients, including general and thoracic surgery, bariatric surgery, breast care, hernia surgery, colorectal surgery and endoscopy, among others.  They also have extensive training in robotic-assisted surgery and advanced laparoscopic techniques.

From same-day, outpatient surgery to complex inpatient procedures, our surgeons offer expertise in a wide variety of specialties.
